Cleaning instructions for Sistema bottle caps:

We recommend after use you remove the cap from the bottle, extend the pop up sipper to the open position and put the top either in the dishwasher or hand wash and then place in water for five minutes with a sterilising solution.
Under normal use this should be sufficient to clean the cap.

If you want to thoroughly sterilise them we recommend that you disassemble the top as per our video instructions.  There are three styles of Sistema caps currently on the market, please identify which one you have and watch the appropriate video here.

Does Sistema® recycle any of its plastic waste?

We at Sistema® take our role as plastic moulders very seriously and we work to reduce our waste as much as possible.

We do this in a number of ways including using the waste plastic material that comes from our manufacturing process and recycling it into coat hangers and grid mats. We are the largest manufacturer of coat hangers in NZ and out grid mats are used for driveways and landscaping areas. Both of these product ranges are suitable for recycled material.

All our other products are manufactured to food grade standards and we are unable to use anything other than virgin material for obvious reasons.
