Carrying Your Words

We often get emails from travelers with pictures of our Sistema containers in remote and exotic locations.  One email we recently received really touched us here in New Zealand, it was from Irishman Robert Quirke and his email is copied below:

Hi Sistema Team,

Greetings from Dublin! Quick note to let you know that on July 19th this month, I will be venturing to Russia to climb Europe's highest mountain, Mount Elbrus. At 18510 ft and -30c this will be a tough challenge. I wanted to let you know because as a part of the trip I will carry people's personal messages to world inside a sealed Sistema box. I will carry this with me all the way from my home in Dublin to Russia, to the summit of the mountain, where I will bury at the summit of Europe's highest mountain forever. The messages I have received so far come from people all over the world and are very touching. The words people send me are important to them and gives them hope. I will try my best to get to the top. I just thought I would let you know and you can see pictures on the facebook page I created called Carrying You Words:

Throughout the trip I am aiming to raise funds for the Irish Cancer Society and people are donating online here:

Feel free to get in to touch any time, and if you would like some pictures from the trip just let me know.

When Brendan Lindsay read this and discovered that Robert had paid for his trip himself and had undertaken this adventure with the sole aim of raising funds for the Irish Cancer Society he donated 5000 euros to the Society via Roberts online site.  We feel very proud that Robert chose one of our containers to accompany him and the fact that it will contain so many wonderful messages to the world gives us a real sense of connection to his cause.

Perhaps you may like to support Roberts cause as well and if so just follow the links as outlined in his email above.
